LENEXA — A 23-year-old Ottawa man was killed early Sunday morning after a car struck him on I-35 in Johnson County. Kevin Polidore was walking on the right side of the south-bound lane near 87th Street in Lenexa when he was hit by a car driven by Larry Gudgel, 55, Olathe, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Gudgel wasn’t uninjured. There was no immediate information why Polidore was walking on the interstate.
