The Ottawa School District is taking steps to expand the Gifted Program to try to catrch any gifted students that may not be recognized as such. Special Education Director, Dr. Josh Robinson, says more emphasis needs to be put on lower grade students:
Robinson also says more emphasis needs to be put on students who also display certain outstanding talents and give them the services they need to develop those abilities.
