November is a month that men may, or may not, look forward to; but, it can be a time to serve a lifesaving purpose. Ottawa City Commissioner, Mike Skidmore, talked about “No Shave November”:
The idea behind “No Shave November” is to take the money you would normally spend on haircare and instead, give it to a cancer charity. The organization behind the observance also encourages women to not shave during November, but for the most part, it has been men who have participated in the observance.
