It’s that time of year. Time many people dread… the end of Daylight Savings Time. Not only do we lose an hour of daylight, you know cold weather is on the way… eventually. This is also the time of year we need to think about changing the batteries in or replacing the smoke detectors in our house. Ottawa Fire Chief, Tim Mathias, says they have them for free at the fire station:
He adds, that if you like, the Fire Department will come out and inspect your house and let you know exactly where to place them and install them for you.
Daylight Savings time officially ends Sunday morning at 2:00, so make sure you set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed tomorrow night. There’s one good thing… an extra hour of sleep.
