Governor Laura Kelly with a strong statement about President Biden’s COVID 19 Vaccine Mandate. She say after review of the Mandate, she appreciates the intention to keep people safe, a goal which she shares; however, she does not believe the Directive is the correct or most effective solution for Kansas.
She says states have been leading the fight against COVID 19 from the start of the pandemic. It’s too late to impose a Federal Standard now that they have already developed systems and strategies that are tailored for their specific needs. Kelly says she will seek a resolution that continues to recognize the uniqueness of Kansas and builds on the State’s on-going efforts to combat a once-in-a-century crisis.
