You’ve noticed the flags lining City Park and the displays in the Park the past two weeks, all honoring our Veterans. If you haven’t been to the park and really looked at the displays, you should. Incredible tributes to the Nations Veterans. A replica model of the Vietnam Wall, a Field of Poppies, Cross upon cross of Franklin County residents who lost their lives in wars and conflicts dating back to World War One, a Medical Unit tending to a wounded man, a field of Soldiers marching across a silent field somewhere in a battle zone. All very powerful and emotional.
The public is encouraged to stop and tour the displays in the Park. Bring your kids, bring your grandkids. Tell them what it all means and how it has led to the freedoms they have today.
We celebrate all Veterans in Ottawa with a Final Tribute to all the Brave men and woman from the past, the present and the future, who have and will fight to secure the freedoms and liberties we enjoy.
The displays will be in the Park through Sunday.
