With the retirement of Undersheriff Rick Geist last week, a new Undersheriff needed to be appointed as quickly as possible to fill the vacancy. Yesterday, at a Special Ceremony in the Deputy Sam Smith Memorial Training Center, long time Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy, Kyle Lasswell, was sworn in as the new Undersheriff. Sheriff Jeff Richards:
Lasswell has been with the Sheriff’s Office for many years as a Deputy, a Detective, moving up in the ranks to a Sargent, and then to Lieutenant in charge of the jail, where he was responsible for many of the programs the jail has, including the Jail Ministry Program, through Hope Anthem Church. Sheriff Richards says he is confident that Lasswell will continue to serve the Community with trust and integrity.
