The habit of property tax assessors assessing big stores the same as empty stores to lower a company’s property tax bill continues to hurt counties all over Kansas. Franklin County Commissioner, Ianne Dickinson, says she’s learned a lot about the Dark Store Theory:
Dickinson says the State Legislature could put an end to the Dark Store theory, but it will take a lot of persuasion to get them to do that.
