Did you lose some branches and limbs in yesterday’s wind storm? A lot of people in Ottawa are out picking up today. The issue is… what to do with all the brush. The City of Ottawa has you covered. Beginning Monday, city crews will start collecting limbs from residencies. Weather permitting, they will make one complete pass through town and another pass through the following week. City officials say it might take a while, as there are a lot of large trees down that take more time to clean up.
You can haul your own brush and limbs and drop them off, free of charge, at the drop off location on West 2nd Street, past Hope Cemetery, Near the 2nd Street dam.
The City of Ottawa asks that to make collection easier and limit possible damage to yards, please stack the limbs parallel, or in the same direction of the curb and as close to the curb as possible. Collections cannot be made in alleys, due to space limitations for equipment and other risk factors.
