Yesterday, the City of Osawatomie celebrated at their Annual Christmas Banquet and several awards were given out. The 2021 Employees of the Year were Trevor Ballou, The GIS Technician and David Ellis, a member of the Building and Codes Department. Ballou was awarded for never hesitating to help across any department and handling uncertainty in projects or unexpected changes with grace and professionalism, for his great attitude and great potential. Ellis was awarded for making a difference in the community, for improving the safety and well being of citizens and being the most under appreciated by the public, but the most necessary.
Oz Police Chief David Stuteville was honored for finishing second in the Miami County Best of 2021 Law Enforcement Category and Community Development Director and Fire Chief, Ed Beaudry receiving Honorable Mention in the First Responder category. Congratulations to all!
