A presentation on the advantages of Ottawa owning solar energy may still have some resistance among some City Commissioners. This actually marks the second time Commissioners have heard about investing in a solar array. Ottawa Mayor, Sara Caylor, appeared skeptical about the option of buying the solar array for over six million dollars after completing seven years of use and she had a question for Brandon Sack of Evergy:
The City Commission is expected to continue discussing the proposal, which envisions several communities going together and jointly owning and benefitting from a solar facility.
