Every year the Rockwood Acres Neighborhood spends Christmas Eve out on the streets setting up thousands of luminarias that line the streets and driveways of the area. They invited the Community to come out and drive through and enjoy the warm glow of the soft light. They also use it as a fundraiser for specific causes in town. Organizer, Liza Jaworski, says it’s a tradition dating back several decades:
She added that Community Elves would be at the exit of Rockwood Acres taking donations for Hope House, the Blessing Box Foundation and Meals on Wheels. The need is great for coats, gloves and hats, shampoo, other hygiene products, canned goods and, of course, cash is always welcome. They will be open starting at 6:00 tomorrow night.
Dim your lights and slowly drive through Rockwood Acres Neighborhood with your friends and family tomorrow night and enjoy the beautiful ambiance and glow of the holiday season.
