The past year and a half has been very rough on everyone as we deal with the pandemic. Our children seem to be taking the brunt of it and mental health needs, among youth, have skyrocketed the past 18 months. Ottawa is very fortunate to have a mental health center right here in town. Director of Children’s Services at the Elizabeth Layton Center, Amy Wacker, offers some things parents need to do with their children and gives an overview of mental health services:
Wacker will be our guest on this weeks Community Perspective. She will talk more about signs and symptoms to look for in kids and expand thoughts on services available at the Elizabeth Layton Center. Tune in Sunday morning at 8:04 to hear the entire conversation.
