You had an incredibly beautiful Christmas tree this year; but, Christmas is over, quite a relief for some. now as you un-decorate the tree, you realize you have a real tree and you’re wondering where in the heck an I going to put this thing? No worries at all, the City of Ottawa has you covered. The have a Christmas tree drop off site available for you to safely dispose of the tree; but, it’s in a different location than you may have dropped Christmas trees in the past. The new location is the City’s brush pile on West Second, keep going past Hope Cemetery, near Second Street Dam. It’s the same place you drop off tree limbs and brush. There are signs in the area also. The city is emphasizing this is for naturally grown trees only, not artificial and please make sure you strip off all the decorations and it is free of any plastic before being dropped off.
