USD 290 students are on Christmas Break right now, but many parents are already wanting to make plans for the next school year. The USD 290 Board has not approved a calendar for next year yet, but three different calendars have been presented to parents. One is very similar to this year; but, another has more extended breaks built in during the year. Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs explains:
Cobbs says the calendar is favored by the majority of the teachers and nearly a third of parents surveyed. The School Board will discuss all three versions at their first meeting in January and possibly make a decision.
