A long time Ottawa business man is retiring. Andy Baer, owner of Andy’s Wrecker and Repair, has decided now is the time.
Andy purchased his first Wrecker Authority in 1975, along with his first wrecker, a homemade converted truck… and never looked back. In 1981 he built the shop at its current location at 225 W. Wilson, and has grown and run constantly since then. Andy says the industry has changed a lot since that first truck in 1975 and over the years he has been blessed with some of the most amazing customers and people imaginable. He says the people of Ottawa have been supportive and they have been blessed to have some of the most loyal and dedicated customers a business could hope for.
The business will change ownership on the first of the year and will become Bennett Truck Repair. The wreckers will, for the time being, remain as Andy’s Wrecker, but will also be owned by Bennett Truck Repair. People can still expect the same great service and dedication they have come to expect for the last 47 years. Andy says he’ll still be around for a while helping to get the new owner settled in and make the transition as smooth as possible.
