With the huge increase in COVID 19 cases the past couple weeks, health officials are urging caution and vaccinations. Franklin County reported on Thursday that there had been 280 new cases since the week before and at 281 active cases. We now have the highest number of active cases since the pandemic began. County Health Officer, Dr. Bud Ransom, says vaccination is the key to stopping the spread:

He added he would recommend wearing masks and continue to follow the hygiene measures that were outlined early on in the pandemic.
