A big court hearing is coming up soon, concerning the proposed City of Golden. The County’s motion to dismiss the Golden Appeal will be taken up on Friday the 14th at 3:00 in the afternoon in Miami County District Court.
The County Commission voted 3-1 against Incorporation of Golden in October. That decision prompted two Golden supporters, Jennifer Williams and Charlie Koch, to appeal the County’s decision. County Commissioners listened to numerous experts related to the Incorporation of the city, filed to keep intermodal warehouses out of Miami County and preserve the rural, country life they wanted.
If it were to be approved, Golden would be composed of nine square miles north of Hillsdale Lake.
