With the Ottawa Police Department reporting more and more thefts and car burglaries, they are requesting you report anything that might be just a little suspicious to them immediately, so they can investigate. Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner says don’t hesitate to call:
He also emphasized the importance of keeping vehicles locked and anything of value, out of sight. A huge majority of vehicle burglaries are in vehicles that are unlocked, many with the keys in them. Even if you have never had a problem before, don’t make it easier to become a victim of a crime of opportunity.
