One of the big things facing our Nation right now is a lack of workers available for the jobs that need to be done. Since the pandemic forced shutdowns of many industries last year, workers have been slow to come back to the work force. It seems like every business is looking for employees. Franklin County Development council Director, Paul Bean, spoke with KOFO’s Brad Howard about the issue:
Bean says a lot of people 55 and over are deciding to leave the work force over concerns and fear about COVID. Another reason is the lack of available childcare and then many people are waiting and still living off the government support granted during the pandemic.
