Franklin County Public Works Director, David Lee, is trying to get a jump start on a certain project this year. He says they’ve already started looking at this year’s chip-seal project:
Lee told County Commissioners that as soon as the bids come in for the chip-seal project, he would present them to the Board. Last year the chip-seal ran over a month behind due to heavy rains and flooding. Materials were hard to get last year, as well. Lee is hoping by starting early, they can get materials delivered sooner and get the roads taken care of in a more timely manner.
