The City of Osawatomie is trying to get a jump start on energy costs, in hopes to avoid another financial disaster that hit last February when the extreme cold swept through the region. City Manager Mike Scanlon reports that the city has reached a tentative agreement with Evergy to build a 3 mega watt solar array:
Scanlon says the solar array would be built on City owned property that is north of Osawatomie State Hospital. No timeline has been set for construction of the project, if it meet final approval by the City Council
