Governor Laura Kelly will give her State Of The State Address tonight. This year it will be held in person in front of a full audience in the Legislative Chambers. Last year it was held virtually for the first time, due to COVID 19 concerns.
Kelly says the Address will be delivered to a Joint Session of the Kansas House of Representatives and Senate at 6:30 this evening. Kelly will focus on the State continued COVID response and her goals for the Legislative Session that started yesterday. One item of discussion will be the expansion of Medicaid, something Kelly has been working on since she took office and she will highlight other issues facing the Legislature this year. This will be Kelly’s fourth State of the State Address.
