The big influx of COVID cases the past couple weeks had some area schools closing for a few days to hopefully get some of their students and staff healthy again. A reminder that USD 288, Central Heights, USD 287, West Franklin and USD 361, Osawatomie, will not have school today. the big increase in COVID cases led to high absenteeism and staff shortages.
Officials urged families to do everything they could during the long five day weekend, to help mitigate the spread of the virus by staying home and following all the COVID safety protocols they have come to know during the pandemic.
