The Ottawa City Commission didn’t have their weekly Study Session this week, but will hold the regular meeting today. One item on the Agenda is declaring January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Don’t think human trafficking is an issue here? City Manager Richard Nienstedt says… think again!
Other items on the Agenda include a Proclamation recognizing January 29th as Kansas Day and the continuation of a Public Hearing to consider the adaption of a Redevelopment Project Plan for a Redevelopment District for needed infrastructure in the South 59 Tax Increment Finance District. The meeting is this morning at 10:00 and will be aired live on KOFO. It will also be live streamed on the City of Ottawa’s Facebook page.
