COVID cases in Franklin County continue to explode. The Franklin County Health Department reports that there have been 490 new cases reported just last week. This put the active case count at 844, again, far and away exceeded the previous record high set just the week before. Sadly, two more deaths of Franklin County residents were also reported. County Health Officer, Dr. Bud Ransom, urges people to take precautions:
Dr. Ransom and Health Department Director, Brenda Pfzenmaier, will provide a COVID update at the City Commission Study Session this afternoon. Health officials are urging people not to go to school or work if they have any symptoms at all, to mask up and follow all COVID protocol to help further prevent the spread of the virus.
