Ottawa City crews worked all night to pretreat roads in town against any ice that may fall before the snow. A second crew came in at midnight for a 12 hours shift. Utilities Director, Dennis Tharp, says they will start plowing snow after the first two inches, but are prepared for more.
Tharp says if we receive larger amounts of snow, he has contractors who will be helping to haul snow out of certain areas if it piles up too much on the main streets.
