A surprise, but sad announcement. Former Franklin County Zoning and Planning Director, Larry Walrod has died. Walrod just retired from his position las Summer to make way for current Director, Kenny Cook. At the Regular County Commission Meeting, Commission Chair, Roy Dunn, paid tribute to Walrod:
Walrod had told Franklin County Officials he might give five years as Zoning Director. He ended up spending 21 years in the position. Walrod was 83 years old.
