The State of Kansas has provided $100 million for what is called BASE Grants. “BASE” stands for “Building A Better Economy”. It’s Federal money that is part of the ARPA Funds. The money is for municipalities, Chambers, Counties and private developers, to help spur economic growth. Franklin County Development Council Director, Paul Bean, says several Grant Applications will be submitted locally:

He says not all applications will be granted; but, he is also expecting another $100 million in the Grant money to be released in the near future.
