If you’ve ever been to the Old Depot Museum and if you haven’t, you are truly missing out. You may be familiar with the model railroad room. A huge layout of model trains from the past, on a track resembling the area, complete with tunnels and a scale model of Ottawa and the surrounding area. Those working on the railroad were honored recently. Historical Society Director Diane Starcinic-Deane:
the model railroad was built in the 1960’s by local model railroad enthusiasts, but fell into disrepair with the passing of some of the local members. The Lawrence club stepped up and offered to help.
