Osage County Sheriff’s Deputies were involved in a high speed chase through the County recently. Wednesday afternoon, just before 3:00, a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop near 125th and Hoch Road, for a traffic violation. The vehicle failed to yield and the deputy initiated a pursuit. That pursuit traveled through rural parts of northern Osage County and then into Shawnee County, where the vehicle came to a stop at 103rd and Jordan Road, near Wakarusa.
The driver of the vehicle, 39 year old John Neu, of Scranton, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Osage County Jail on suspicion of fleeing and eluding while engaging in reckless driving.
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office.
