Governor Laura Kelly announced 29 bridge projects across Kansas will receive more than $5 million as part of the Kansas Local Bridge Improvement Program. The program is a state and local partnership initiative that provides funds to replace or rehabilitate locally owned deficient bridges to improve the Kansas infrastructure.
One of those bridges is in Miami County. The bridge over Tributary Creek, one mile southwest of Beagle on 399th Street. The State will provide up to $200,000 toward the replacement or rehabilitation of the bridge. Miami County closed a second deficient bridge to qualify for an additional $50,000.
