Last week there was some discussion of possibly using Federal money from the American Rescue Plan to buy a second street sweeper. Well, not so fast. Ottawa Utilities director Dennis Tharp says they meant to say that the money could be used to buy a replacement for the current one and get rid of the old sweeper.
Tharp says the new design pretty much corrects the design problems of the old sweeper. So, buying a new one of the same model should be a good deal.
