The Franklin County Emergency Medical Services is looking for new ways to fully staff their ambulances because they can’t hire enough paramedics. EMS Chief, Christi Hiliker, told the County Commission at their Study Session, she can hire what are called Advanced EMT’s:
Hiliker says currently paramedics have to work a lot of overtime and the situation is not sustainable, with burnout being a real danger.
