Are you ready for Severe Weather Season? It’s right on our doorstep. We know where to take shelter in our homes, but what if you are on the road, in your car? What do you do? National Weather Service Meteorologist, John Woynick, says it’s important to realize what not to do:
Some tornados pack winds over 200 miles per hour and can throw your vehicle around like a toy. Terry Seymore of Ottawa experienced that three years ago in the Lawrence tornado in late May. Be aware of weather conditions and stay off the roads, if at all possible, in severe weather.
Be ready for Severe Weather Season. It’s getting closer everyday. Have an emergency plan for yourself and your family and practicethat plan to make sure you can… “weather the storm”.
