This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Kansas. Today we feature something a lot of people don’t think about… lightening. You don’t have to have a severe thunderstorm to have lightening.
Each bolt of lightning is hotter than the sun and can reach 50,000 degrees and kills about 47 people every year in the U. S. Playing it safe is very important. John Jensenius, with the National Lightning Safety Council, has some tips:
