With another major snow bearing down on us over the course of the next couple days, we all need to be aware of how the roads are. Ottawa Police Chief, Adam Weingartner, says he loves the snow, but he has a message to those who have to be out on the road…don’t be there unless you absolutely have to. Weingartner says everyone knows its slippery and needs to remember how to drive on the icy surface. Give plenty of room to people in front of you and allow extra breaking time, tapping your brakes, not stomping on them. Also, be aware of others around you that may forget how to drive on the snowy roads.
