Child care availability, or lack thereof, has become a crisis in the Nation and we are not exempt from that in Franklin County. A Regional Childcare Meeting was recently held in Paola. Representatives from four counties came together to discuss ways to respond to the crisis. Franklin County Development Council Director, Paul Bean, says availability for toddlers is a big problem:
He adds that the four counties will meet again to try to come up with solutions to the childcare issue. Without more, it puts a real strain our our workforce.
