The Wellsville School District will break ground tomorrow on an $18 million investment in their future. In May of 2021, voters in USD 289 overwhelmingly approved an $18.1 million Bond Project to initiate improvements to the district elementary, middle and high schools. The project will include classroom renovations, creation of a media center, science, family and consumer science renovations. Safety, security and exterior façade upgrades, locker room and restroom updates, system and roofing updates across the district and the addition of a wrestling room and weight room.
Superintendent Ryan Bradbury says generations of Wellsville families have been educated within the walls of the schools and this project will preserve the school for many more generations to come, while addressing the communities long term needs.
Lloyd Builders of Ottawa will lead the renovations. The Groundbreaking Ceremony will be held tomorrow afternoon at 5:30 at Wellsville High School, outside on the southwest side of the red gym.
