The Ottawa City Commission has chosen a new commissioner to fill the unexpired term of Tom Weigand. It is Zach Clayton, who ran for Commissioner in the last election, which was the basis for the rest of the Commissioners choosing him. Before the final selection was made, the Commission interviewed two other candidates, among them, Stan Nichols. Nichols says trash around town is annoying:
The new Commissioner, Zach Clayton, is expected to be sworn in at the April 4th Study Session; but will officially be seated at the April 6th Regular Commission Meeting.
