The three people who died in a house fire in Greely on March 2nd have been identified. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office did not release official identifications on the three until they were positively identified by lab work done through the Kansas Fire Marshall’s office. Those people, 32 year old Chad Likins, 28 year old Savanna Lyons and her three year old son, Alan Tomblin. Services for the three were held last week in Osawatomie. Likins grew up in the Osawatomie area and was a handy man, working on home remodels. Lyons grew up in Osawatomie, graduating from Osawatomie High in 2012. She worked at Level 6 Construction in Garnett.
Anderson County Fire Chief, Mick Brinkmeyer, says the State Fire Marshal had not yet determined a cause for the blaze, most likely due to a surge in fatality fire investigations this year. He says it will be at least another two to three months, due to their work load. There have been 86 fire deaths in Kansas so far this year.
