Some are asking how the Russian invasion of Ukraine is impacting global food security and food aid assistance efforts. According to Sarah Charles of the U. S. Agency for International Development, it’s already impacting food security around the world. Rod Bain with more:
Charles says they are already using funds to provide relief to those inside and outside Ukraine and they are considering all factors, including commodities in countries that could benefit from the U. S Food Commodities with an attempt to reinforce emergency food operations in countries highly impacted by the crisis.
