The Frontier and Marias Des Cygnes Districts are partnering together to host an Online Dining with Diabetes Program. It runs from April 14th through May 9th.
In Kansas over 9% of adults have been diagnosed with diabetes and it is the 7th leading cause of death in the U. S.. Thirty-four point two million people, or 1 out of 10, have diabetes and many more may not know they do. This course will teach the skills needed to eat right and learn to live with the disease. Frontier District Extension Agent, Chelsea Richmond, tells us more:
If you are interested, the deadline to sign up is Thursday. She adds that it is a self paced program and you can work through several different modules.
