the City of Garnett will be building an outdoor fitness facility soon, thanks in part to a Grant from the Kansas Recreation and Park Association and the National Fitness Campaign Along with other donors, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, Anderson County Hospital and the City of Garnett, the Garnett Recreation Center will bring an open-air fitness facility to the community. In an announcement yesterday on Facebook, the recreation center says the public can attend fitness classes with their certified fitness ambassadors, trained through the National Fitness Campaign and along with the Fitness Court App, you can have a personal workout at your finger tips.
The National Fitness Campaign was founded in 1979 by Mitch Menaghed. His mission is to make world class fitness free. Here is a clip from the promotional video posted on the City of Garnett Facebook Page:
