Kansas lawmakers were busy this past session with a variety of legislation, all designed to help Kansans in some way. With a huge surplus of money in the coffers, Representative Blaine Finch was asked, at the Legislative Coffee held recently in Ottawa, how they used the surplus to benefit Kansans. In addition to expanding the Kansa Promise Act, so more students can get their community college education paid for if they stay in Kansas to work, here is a partial list from his answer.
