Recently, the City of Ottawa was awarded a Grant under the Building A Stronger Economy Program… also known as the BASE Program. Six million dollars will go toward putting a gas line to Proximity Park. Franklin County Economic Development Council Director, Paul Bean, says it is significant to drawing companies to the park:
The Grant process was very competitive across the State. Several Grant requests were submitted in Franklin County and Ottawa’s was the only one selected. The project will be in partnership with Kansas Gas and should be completed in the next twelve months.
