The development of the Econo-Lodge in South Ottawa from a motel into an apartment complex is on hold while the City tries to iron out some zoning regulation problems. Ottawa Community Director, Michael Hall, told the City Commission that something happened when the matter came to the Planning Commission:
Hall says he doesn’t know why the three acre minimum was put in a Mixed-Use District and he has found other projects that do not meet the three acre minimum.
