Royals mascot, Slugger, stopped by Osawatomie Middle School to deliver a few special “Salvy Splashes” to help celebrate a Gatorade drive the school did for the Fire Department. Slugger was at the school earlier this month to celebrate the big day. Students at the school collected nearly 400 bottles of Gatorade to donate to the Osawatomie Fire Department. Teacher Jessica Jones says for the “Be Kind” project in March, they collected Gatorades as a whole school activity. When a student brought in Gatorades, they were able to put a sticker on a teacher they would like to see get a “Salvy Splash
Slugger helped deliver a few of those splashes, including one for Mike Kriesel, Public Education Coordinator for the Osawatomie Fire Department, Kriesel was a Secret Community Guest at the school for the event. Slugger also gave a “‘Splash” to winning student, Caden Peterson. Afterward, Slugger took the time to show of his dance moves as pictures with each class were taken.
