A Topeka man has been taken into custody in Osage County for attempted sex crimes. Osage County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have been conducting an investigation regarding the online solicitation of a child by an adult. Tuesday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit took and adult male into custody, who had made plans to meet someone he believed to be a minor.
Thirty nine year old Joseph VonSoosten of Topeka, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Osage County Jail on suspicion of electronic solicitation and attempted aggravated indecent liberties with a child. He remains in the Osage County Jail and the case will be forwarded to the County Attorney for prosecution.
