The Eudora Community came together last night as hundreds of people gathered for a candlelight vigil to remember 10 year old Brooklyn Brouhard, who was killed in a hit-and-run crash Saturday on an off ramp on K-10 highway. Her grandfather was seriously injured. While police located the van in the KC metro earlier this week, the driver still has not been found. Organizer of the event. Loretta Nottingham, was Brooklyn’s bus driver:
Nearly $20,000 was raised last night to help the family with funeral expenses. Nottingham says they know the money can’t bring Brooklyn back, but the community is doing anything they can right now to help them.
